The Dr. Tse Yuen Man Memorial Scholarship was set up in 2004 in remembrance of the heroic acts of the late Dr. Tse Yuen Man, a former trainee in Respiratory Medicine, who offered her life to save the SARS patients in 2003. The fellowship is awarded to higher form students of TWGHs Mrs. Wu York Yu Memorial College, the Alma Mater of Dr. Tse Yuen Man. The award is offered to winners of an essay competition on respiratory disease selected by a panel consisting of council members of Hong Kong Lung Foundation. Miss Woo Hoi Yan, Rebecca was awarded the scholarship for the year 2004 and the title of her essay was "Air Pollution and Lung Health".
