An asthma symposium “Breaking New Ground in Asthma Management”, jointly organized by the Hong Kong Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians (Hong Kong and Macau Chapter) was held successfully on August 9, 2007 at Marriot Hotel.

Over hundred of colleagues attended this evening symposium. It was chaired by Dr Chan Wai Ming (the President of HKTS) and the enlightening and informative talk was delivered by Prof Peter Barnes, the Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital of UK: a world renowned expert in the Respiratory field and airway diseases management. Prof Barnes has expertly presented the most updated knowledge and research results in asthma management in his one hour talk. The symposium ended with an interactive “Question and Answer” section between Professor Barnes and the audience.
