The course has been jointly organized by the College of Family Physicians, Hong Kong Thoracic Society and American College of Chest Physicians (HK & Macau Chapter). With the Year of the Lung, the 2010 course had been special in having a very comprehensive range of topics in Respiratory Medicine, and was delivered by a distinguished panel of local respiratory experts including Drs. Thomas Mok, Maureen Wong, James Ho, CK Chan, Kahlin Choo, Fanny Ko, HS Chan and Johnny Chan. The covered topics included smoking cessation, management of COPD and asthma, tuberculosis, obstructive sleep apnoea, community-acquired pneumonia, pleural effusions and lung cancer. There were altogether 50 participants, and 25 of them were being awarded a certificate of attendance.
